DRIVE BY DUBAI

Greeted by a nine hour stopover in Dubai (on route to Turkey), we left the airport and visited the Burj Khalifa ‘the tallest building in the world’.

I love the colours and the composition of the images, you capture the desolate nature of the desert so well!
what camera/lens did you use? and did you use editing software as well?

Hi, I use a Leica M9P digital rangefinder and (mostly) a late 70′s 50mm f2 Summicron. I always do a little tweaking in post, but it;s very minimal. Are you a photographer or filmmaker? Thanks.

Lieca’s are real nice! but i’ll probably have to rob a bank to afford one… I do a bit of photography as a hobby, i don’t have a good camera, just an old film Asahi Pentax, but saving for some nice gear

Love these shots, I think the lady in the wheel chair is my favorite. Having spent 5 hours on a stopover in Dubai on the way to Turkey a couple of months ago, I can emphathise with the need to escape the airport. Though the 5 hours did seem to take forever, it seemed like it just wasn’t enought time to leave…I am not sure if that makes any sense? I look forward to see what shots you take in Turkey.
