ABOUT
I am a film director living in Melbourne, Australia. Since 2000, I have been a director at Exit Films.
I was very lucky when my first short drama, Cracker Bag, won the Palme d’Or for short film at the 2003 Cannes Film Festival. Cracker Bag was also nominated for four Australian Film Institute Awards (AFI), winning two for Best Short Screenplay and Best Short Film. The film also won jury prizes at the Berlin and Aspen film festivals.
In 2005, I directed Von Stauffenberg’s Stamp as part of the TV series Two Twisted for Channel 9. In 2006 I wrote and directed the short film The Desert, which was also nominated for an AFI award in that year.
In 2009 my feature film debut Last Ride was released. Last Ride won the coveted Black Pearl for best new director at The Abu Dhabi International Film Festival and a Jury Prize at the Rome International Film Festival.
In 2011 I directed the tele-movie Beaconsfield , and in 2012 I was the set up director on Puberty Blues.
Along with my continuing commercial work, I am currently developing a number of feature and television projects.
Hoaxville is the place to watch these projects grow.
